When comparing the gospels in the New Testament you will find some things that differ. For example, Matthew begins with genealogy. Mark starts with John the Baptist. These books are inspired by the Holy Spirit, penned by these men to work together, not stand alone or apart.
When I open the book of John I see no effort to try and prove the existence of Jesus or that he was who he claimed to be. It is just understood. “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God.” John boldly declares the truth.
I realize that believers can struggle in their faith. This is coming from someone who has in the past but I can declare as John did, that I am sure there is a God and Jesus is my blessed redeemer! There are events that have or will occur in your life that will set the record straight. When times get dark, think of those moments and press into Jesus.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13)
